Aidan conversation data.
Aidan is a public conversation interface. This page explains the specific information flow when you use it.
Last updated / 12 August 202601 / Response generation
Messages are sent to OpenAI.
Your current message and a bounded amount of recent conversation context are sent to OpenAI through its API so Aidan can respond. Firecode Systems does not intentionally persist the raw visitor messages or Aidan responses in its database, application logs, analytics, or another Firecode Systems store. The visible transcript is held in active browser memory and may disappear when the page is refreshed.
OpenAI may retain API customer content in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days by default, unless different approved data-retention controls apply to the Firecode Systems OpenAI project. Firecode Systems requests that Responses API application state is not stored.
02 / Retained intelligence
A sanitised summary may be retained.
After a successful exchange, a separate model is asked to create a structured, sanitised and de-identified summary for product development. It abstracts the visitor's goal, topics, questions, confusion, unanswered matters, public-documentation gaps, product or architecture feedback, Aidan's strengths or deficiencies, broad intent, and relevant public development states.
Sanitisation is designed to remove or abstract unnecessary identifying and sensitive detail, but automated sanitisation cannot be guaranteed perfect. Residual identification or sensitive-information risk remains.
03 / Operational metadata
Content-free records support safe operation.
Firecode Systems may retain random request, conversation and session identifiers; timestamps; configured model names; request and summary status; and character or token counts where available. This supports product quality, safety, abuse and cost control, and debugging without deliberately retaining the raw transcript.
Firecode Systems does not deliberately collect or retain IP addresses, browser fingerprints, names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, credentials, financial or health information, confidential project detail, or unrelated personal metadata through Aidan.
04 / Retention
Keep only what remains useful.
Raw conversation content is not intentionally retained by Firecode Systems. Structured summaries and operational metadata are retained while they remain useful for the purposes described above, then reviewed for deletion or de-identification. Records may be removed earlier when no longer required.
05 / Your choice
Do not submit confidential or sensitive information.
Aidan is limited to Firecode Systems' public record. Do not use the conversation to send credentials, private organisational material, personal information, health or financial information, or confidential project detail.
To ask a privacy question or request deletion of a retained record, email hello@firecode.au and include the approximate date and time of the exchange. Because session identifiers are random and identifying detail is designed to be removed, Firecode Systems may not be able to locate a particular sanitised record.
